Founders: Rest When You’re Sick

Don’t try to tough it out. A founder's job is day and night, so when you get sick you’re often tempted to keep pushing. That’s the wrong approach:

1. Tough Costs

If you decide to keep working, you'll be operating at ~50% for a week and risk getting really sick which can cost you another full 2 weeks.

2. Rest Costs

If you cancel everything and rest, it's not usually more than 2 full days lost.

3. Projecting Strength

Even if you think there's a meeting you absolutely cannot miss. Do you think you're projecting strength if you show up at death's door?

Best of luck out there.
